WE MAKE THINGS.
THEN WE MAKE THEM BETTER.
Blackforge Workshop is a Chicago shop built around one idea — if our name goes on it, it should be worth owning. We design and print in house, we build our own display stands, and we carry saber hardware we'd run ourselves.
That's still the whole test."
Blackforge started with sabers, and it started because we were unhappy. We'd been in the hobby long enough to know what arrives in the box when you buy on price — tinny speakers, wobbly hilts, boards that die inside a year. So we went the other way. Premium boards only, from the first order.
Then something else happened. We kept needing parts that didn't exist. A stand that held the hilt at the right angle. A bracket that fit the shelf we already had. So we bought a printer, learned to design, and started making them.
That turned into the bigger half of the business. The workshop now runs multicolor printers most of the day, turning out desk pieces, household goods, toys, cosplay props and one-off commissions — alongside the sabers that started it.
The test hasn't changed. We don't sell anything we wouldn't keep.
FOUR THINGS, ONE BENCH
MADE TO ORDER.
MADE HERE.
Prints, stands, cosplay and custom work don't exist before you order them. That's slower than shipping from a shelf, and it's the point — you pick the design, we run the plate, and the piece that arrives was made for you.
For custom work you see it before we print it. Mockups and proofs come to you for approval, and nothing goes on the machine until you sign off.
IF IT EXTRUDES,
WE CAN PRINT IT.
We run multicolor machines and every material worth using — PLA where color matters, PETG where a part needs to take a knock, ABS for heat, carbon fiber composites where it needs to stay rigid. The material gets chosen for the job, not for what's cheapest on the shelf.
On the saber side the standard is just as flat: Xenopixel V3 as the floor, Proffie 2.2 for the people who want to go deeper. No baselit tier, no watered-down default.
